As a church we cannot fulfil our vision of Expanding God’s Kingdom by Loving and Serving Jesus, Each Other and Our Community without the generosity of the many people who give of their time, talents and money to support the church’s life and ministry. Regular giving helps us to make plans both in relation to what God is doing through us here and now and with a view to what he might do in the future.
HOW TO GIVE
If you would like to support the church by giving regularly or making a one off donation there are a number of different ways in which you can do so:
- You can download a standing order form here and either set up a standing order using your bank’s online or telephone banking facility or by printing and completing the form and giving it to your bank. If you need a form posting to you please contact our treasurer whose details are on the form.
- You can also use the bank details shown on the form to make a one off donation.
- You can send a cheque to our correspondence address as shown on the form.
- You can donate online via our giving page hosted by Give.net*.
- Many employers offer Payroll Giving which allows you to give directly from your salary before tax is deducted. To find out if your employer offers Payroll Giving, contact your human resources department.
GIFT AID
If you pay Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax in the UK, we can claim back 25p on every £1 you donate through the Gift Aid scheme. To permit us to do this, please complete a Gift Aid Declaration.
If you pay tax above the basic rate, you can personally claim the difference between the rate that you pay and the basic rate on your donation. You can do this after the tax year in question either through your self-assessment tax return or by writing to HMRC, or in advance by asking HMRC to amend your tax code.
If you would like more information about giving please contact our treasurer at [email protected].
* Give.net is powered by the Christian charity Stewardship. 3.5% of what you give, including any Gift Aid, goes towards covering their costs to provide this service.
